The inauguration of Christ College.

The Golden Jubilee celebrations of Carmel Vidya Bhavan.

Blessing of the Jubilee Memorial Library and the multipurpose community hall.

The extension of Carmel was completed and began to be used as Sunday chapel. 

September 4:

Carmel Parish was inaugurated and Fr. Andrews Athappilly was appointed the first Vicar. 

Fr. Gabinus Petta, the then rector, organized the Syrian Catholics in Pune. 

July 3:

S.H. Carmel House was renamed as Carmel Vidya Bhavan. 

May 11:

The first floor of the house was completed. 

January 11:

Mortal remains of Fr. Eugene were shifted to Thevara in Kerala.

June 11:

Classes began in the Papal Seminary which was shifted from Kandy. 

January 21:

Fr. Eugene Manjooran was called for his eternal rest.

Fr. Fabian took charge of the construction work.

May 15:

The second phase of the Study House was initiated with the arrival of the second batch.

This House was raised to the status of a canonical house.

Construction work of the CMI Study House was begun under the leadership of Fr. Eugene.

De Nobili College was reopened.

Fr. Alfred, the then local superior, convened a meeting of all the Kerala Catholics residing in Pune.

March 31:

Temporary closure of the Study House due to Second World War. 

June 1:

The first batch of CMI scholastics with Fr. Rector Eugene Manjooran and Fr. Alfred Vadakekudy reached Pune to the rented house of Mr. A.D. Coelho.

July 21:

The land was purchased for Study House.
